Why does it take a few seconds to start?
To deliver top quality, the server downloads video and audio separately and merges them. The bar shows real progress, no padding.
Do you keep my files or my history?
No. There is no sign-up and no history. The file is erased as soon as it finishes being sent to you — the server keeps nothing afterwards.
Are there any limits?
Yes, on the site: videos up to 15 minutes, MP4 up to 1080p and 5 downloads per visitor per day. That keeps the server standing and the project cheap. The desktop app has none of these limits.
Can I download any video?
Technically the site accepts public YouTube links. Legally, download only what you have the right to download — your own content, free content, or content you are authorised to take.
